Migrate Apple ICloud Photos to a Synology & Qnap NAS

Migrate Apple ICloud Photos to a Synology & Qnap NAS

I really need some help here. we’re going to have to get creative.

how can i save my apple photos library to my qnap?

in addition … what is the easiest way to get photos/videos to immediately download to the qnap?

The easiest way to do so would be login into iCloud and download all those pictures. If you have mapped your NAS drive folders to your computer, you can choose the download destination directly on the NAS.

Here is Apple manual https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT209454

The other option is to play with Docker/ Container Station on your NAS. Here it is https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT209454

download_path: This is the directory to which files will be downloaded from iCloud. If this variable is not set, it will default to “/home/${user}/iCloud”.

I hope this helps.
