Compatible SATA SSD storage for DS920+
I have been following your videos for some time and I decided to buy a Synology DS920+.
I need your advise for I am a bit confused with regards to compatible storage SSD for the above model.
I’d rather use SSD instead of HDD, for I had several “traumatic” experiences with crashing mechanical disks in the past!!!
I would be happy with two or three 500GB SSD to begin with and, before spending any money, I was wondering whether any of the following models would work with my Synology:
– Samsung 860 Pro SSD 512GB
– Western Digital Red 500GB NAS SSD
– Seagate IronWolf 125 SSD 500GB
If none of the above are compatible, which reliable alternative I should go for?
If you are looking for the most reliable SSD to use in 3.5inch drive bays then answer is Seagate Ironwolf 125.
