The QNAP QM2 Upgrade Card Range just got ALOT Bigger for 2018
For those that didn’t know, QNAP have been releasing their popular series of PCIe improved performance cards for almost six months now to great success. Featuring the ability to improve internal operations with SSD caching, as well as adding a 10 gigabit ethernet port to your NAS for vastly improved transmission speeds. Thanks to the success of the QM2 series of NAS cards, QNAP are developing a vast number of follow-up cards covering a whole host of configurations in 2018. They have taken the original innovations of utilising NVMe based ssdS for SSD caching and tiered storage, and pushed the boundaries considerably further. With improved innovations in numbers of SSD usable, RAID configurations available on the card and greatly improved PCIe speeds and handling, these new QM2 cards are just the thing to breathe improved life into a NAS that requires a performance boost with minimum investment.
What are the New Cards featuring NVMe SSD and SATA SSD in the QNAP QM2 range
The new series of QNAP QM2 PCIe upgrade cards cover a vast number of situations and NAS configurations, some utilising traditional SATA based SSD, with others expanding greatly with up to 4 NVMe based SSD utilising PCIe gen 3 x 4 connectivity. Take a look below at the available cards later in 2018:
