QNAP bring Thunderbolt NAS to London- Calling all content creators!
It has not really been a secret here at NASCompares that we were left impressed by the Thunderbolt 2 and Thunderbolt 3 NAS server range from QNAP over the last 2 years. We have seen the development of the platform grow from what was a fringe experimental concept device in the QNAP TVS-871T to becoming a fast selling and industry changing device in the TVS-1282T3 and TS-453BT3 Thunderbolt 3 QNAP NAS. It wasn’t just us either, Videomaker declared the TVS-1282T3 one of its products of the year, as well as the TS-453BT3 one of it’s best of CES 2018 last month. However, there is no denying that many consider the range (big or small) a big chunk of money and therefore are hesitant to commit without getting to know it a little better. Luckily, if you are in London between February 27th and March 1st (and according to my stats, a large number of you are) then why not get your hands on thunderbolt NAS technology from the guys at QNAP, ask them what makes it tick, see just how easy it is to use and ask them why you should invest in thunderbolt NAS technology in 2018.
I am calling out to all the photo editors out there, the wedding photographers that need every minute to count, the video editors that need to knock a few steps out of their production chain, the Mac or Windows users who want to backup much, much faster than before and…of course… the NAS user who simply needs to work at the best they possibly can. If you want to see exactly what the future of full production and 4K NAS is, head over to stand N18 at BVE, at the Excel in London.

What we expect to see from QNAP at BVE 2018
Although there is a firm focus on thunderbolt and content creation technology, we will also hope to see more and more on both 10Gbe connectivity (that has REALLY come down in both price and complexity over the last year) and what QNAP are doing with their application of the popular new AMD Ryzen devices. Here is what we fully expect to see:
QNAP TS-453BT3 NAS
Already mentioned above, this award-winning NAS will be on show and still represents the BEST value Thunderbolt 3 and 10Gbe based NAS in the world right now. With a price tag in three digits, it may seem higher, but it is still a 1/3 lower in price than the next Thunderbolt unit up (TVS-682T) and gives you both the very latest Thunderbolt connectivity alongside the much more accommodating RJ45 based 10 Gigabit connectivity that grows in popularity. A fully featured NAS, a Thunderbolt 3 enabled storage device for final cut pro connecting two machines, a 10Gbe server for fast collaboration and virtual machines, and finally a Thunderbolt 3 to 10Gbe based switch thrown in for good measure.
