High availability with a financial Postgres SQL database

High availability with a financial Postgres SQL database. We are interested in setting up a high availability SQL database connected to financial markets with power stations PCs and connected to optical fiber.

What would it be the most efficient network architecture and high availability set up?

Currently, High Availability solutions leader seem to be Synology. You can have two desktop NAS units or two rackmount units set up to take over within seconds if main NAS have been lost. When working with databases high IOPS are very important, especially with multi-user environments. I would recommend looking at something with PCIe slot or ready built in 10GbE network card. For a 2TB storage, I would pick dual DS718+ as a desktop option or RS818RP+ as a rackmount option. But again 10GbE and SSD storage would be beneficial. Postgres SQL itself is a very safe database system in case of interrupted commands. Dual power supply, UPS and High availability combinations would make this setup almost failproof.
