- We have fixed the vulnerabilities in the following apps to ensure your data security: Surveillance Station, QVPN Service, Qfiling, Qsync Central, QcalAgent, and IFTTT Agent. To continue using these apps, go to the App Center and update them to the latest version.

- Removed the following applications from App Center due to PHP 7 updates in QTS 4.4.1: phpEasyProject, Dolphin, CMS Made Simple, Vtiger CRM, iStat, and ownCloud.
- Due to compatibility issues, the following applications have been removed from the App Center in QTS 4.4.1: FileFlex, MantisBT, SugarCRM, Xeams, DokuWiki, and Azure Storage.
- Once you update QTS to 4.4.1 (or later) on the TS-1635AX, you will not be able to downgrade QTS to versions earlier than 4.4.1.
- Removed support for Plex Home Theater from HybridDesk Station.
- After reaching their end of support in July 2020, Notes Station and Qnotes have been removed from QTS App Center, Google Play, and Apple App Store. We recommend using Notes Station 3 and Qnotes 3 to benefit from the next-generation note-taking features. - Removed HappyGet from the App Center due to changes in Google extension policies.
- Starting from 4.5.1, QTS is no longer compatible with the following applications: DJ2 Console, CodexPack.
New Features
QTS
- Control Panel now automatically displays SR-IOV device information if the NAS model and the expansion card both support SR-IOV.
- QTS now also displays the names of corresponding network adapters when displaying SR-IOV devices.
- Administrators can now enable auto firmware update and specify a schedule to check for and install the latest stable version.
Virtualization Station
- Virtualization Station now supports SR-IOV passthrough for virtual machines. To learn more about supported QNAP devices and network interface cards, see https://www.qnap.com/go/software/virtualization-station
Network & Virtual Switch
- Added support for Intel network adapter E810, except its iSER and SR-IOV features.
- Added support for auto-negotiation between various network speeds (1 GbE, 2.5 GbE, 5 GbE, 10 GbE) for the Intel X550 network adapter to provide backward compatibility.
- Added support for SR-IOV.
Security
- QTS now supports QuFirewall (beta), which protects the NAS from malicious cyber attacks.
Enhancements
SNMP
- Added support for the newly restructured SNMP MIB, which covers various modules such as storage, system, external devices, services, and applications. Updated the new OID to support the new MIB. The old MIB and OID are both retained to ensure backward compatibility.
QTS
- Added support for enabling or disabling Console Management in Control Panel > System > General Settings.
- Increased the maximum number of local users to 16000.
- Enhanced the UI design of QTS web installation for better usability.
Storage
- Storage & Snapshots now supports displaying the supported bus types of SSD slots.
- IronWolf Health Management now supports the following Seagate disks: IronWolf (12 TB and 10 TB), IronWolf Pro (18 TB, 12 TB, and 10 TB), IronWolf 125 SSD, IronWolf Pro 125 SSD.
VJBOD Cloud
- Users can now manually specify a bucket name when creating a cloud volume/LUN if their privileges do not allow for browsing the bucket list.
Fixed Issues
- Network & Virtual Switch could not use the VPN from QVPN Service as the NAS default gateway.
- Snapshot Replica jobs would fail if users tried to back up the same snapshots more than once.
- Editing Snapshot Replica jobs would cause the destination NAS to display an error message about failed login attempts in System Event Log.
- One menu item in Volume Management was incorrectly translated in Italian.
- An unexpected error message would occur if users changed any settings in Syslog Server.
- Control Panel could not correctly display power supply temperatures and power fan speeds in System Status after users enabled Redundant Power Supply Mode.
- Fixed a syntax error in a Stunnel script.
- Users could not find available objects using object identifiers (OIDs) when setting up SNMP Service.
- System fans would stop spinning when the system temperature fell below 24 degree Celsius and when users selected “Adjust the speed according to the temperature threshold” for system fans.
- QTS could not detect the QM2-2S-220A expansion card after users updated the system to QTS 4.5.1.1480.
- Users could not query DNS information in IPv6 after enabling NAS domain controller.
- After users enabled and configured advanced folder permissions, accessing ACL permissions in Windows File Explorer would cause the shared folder to crash.
- Users could not complete torrent download tasks in Download Station after creating two VPN connections.
- In File Station, users could not open files in search results with Microsoft Office Online.
- Control Panel would stop responding when accessing the list of domain users in Privilege > Quota.
