Synology RS814 compatible with DSM 7?

Info on Synology RS814

I’ve got the possibility to buy it.
In case, is it still a good device to store and share personal data (home usage)?
Also, will it be updated to DSM 7?

The RS814 is still a reliable NAS. It’s hardware is rather weak, but it should not be a reason to not get a DSM7 on it. Currently it runs on DSM 6.2.2 just like any other NAS.
