RAM Upgrade
I have a QNAP TVS-673. It’s currently got 4GB of RAM. I’m looking to upgrade to 32GB of RAM in preparation for QTS Hero.
I’ve found 2 possible candidates – not sure which one to buy (both very similarly priced) – could you advise which one to go for:Crucial 32GB Kit (16GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200)
Crucial 32GB Kit (16GBx2) DDR4 2666 MT/s (PC4-21300)
Official Qnap RAM upgrade would require 4X 16GB RAM sticks of SO-DIMM RAM 16GB RAM-16GDR4K0-SO-2400.
But if you want to get a cheaper RAM from Crucial or other manufacturers then make sure that RAM frequency is the same. So I would pick: Crucial 32GB Kit (16GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200)
Upgrading to 64GB would require 2x32GB Kingston memory or Crucial memory
32GB DDR4 PC4-21300 2666MHz 260-pin SODIMM MR22082-SG032 UK USA
You could also try 64GB Kit (2 X 32GB) Memory for Dell Precision 7730 Mobile Workstation Laptop Compatible RAM 2RX8 DDR4 2666MHz SODIMM (PARTS-QUICK Brand)
