Which lasts longer SSD or HDD?

What is your opinion of using SSD (all kinds) for NAS? Are they safe enough for RAID? For long term? If you can afford the extra $, maybe for just a 2-bay or even a 4-bay NAS? Are they less reliable than HDs for the long term? What are the factors?

 

SSD will last longer and it is faster. If you do go this route, you will benefit from faster loading OS and apps and data transfers in general.
