What is the maximum capacity of RAM to be installed in RS818+ and RS818RP+

Officially Synology have mentioned that this NAS supports up to 16GB RAM.  But CPU specification says it supports 64GB per channel. So I would say, that you can definitely go over the 16GB limit.

 

Can I install ECC RAM in RS818+ and RS818RP+

The CPU specification says that Atom C2538 processor supports ECC RAM. If Synology has not created blocking in their software it should work in theory.
