Synology DS118j would probably be the model number for long waited DS115j replacing NAS. It has been more than 2 years since budget 1 bay NAS has been released. It is very similar to WD network enabled drives. Not very powerful, but still is capable of few interesting NAS functions. New Synology drive is a great app which is for free and competes with Dropbox. Just don’t need to pay for a subscription nor care about the size limit.
This is simply just a case of guessing, what ds118j would look like if Synology decided to replace the old unit with a new one.
What to expect if DS118j ever gets released?
