Scalable NAS

Scalable NAS. Is there a NAS solution where I can keep adding drives and the single “drive” will increase in space? I want to use a NAS as a backup and have it also upload contents to Dropbox. Dropbox won’t let me sync multiple drives or folders so I need to have 1 drive be expandable.

Yes, you can achieve with both market leaders- Qnap and Synology. If you have several folders or certain files to exclude and configure then Synology will be much easier to manage. Alternatively, Qnap will do the same thing with little bit more button pressing. You can start with 1 or 2 drives and add more as you need them. If you want to mix different hard drive capacities then you have to choose Synology. Qnap will treat all drive as lowest capacity in the RAID.
