Active Backup for Server.
I found your video on Active Backup for Server and was hoping you could clear some things up for me. I’m trying to back up a drive on my local pc to my Synology NAS. I just set up an incremental backup to do this. The two questions I have are, is an incremental backup the right type for me or should I be looking at a mirror backup? Also, if files are deleted on my drive on my pc, will they be deleted in the backup folder on my NAS as well? I simply want a copy of my D drive saved somewhere in case the drive fails at some point. I’m backing it up a few times per week.
Either option will work for you. And yes, it will delete the data if it does not exist on your D drive at the time of the latest backup.
If you use a multi-version backup from Hyper Backup – than you will be able to restore previous versions of your backup. It is very handy when you delete something you shouldn’t have.
