QNAP HS-453DX NAS with my Netgear Nighthawk X10
I’ve seen lots of your YouTube videos and I’m looking at acquiring a QNAP HS-453DX NAS to attach to my Netgear NightHawk R9000 X10 router.
As you know, the NAS has one 10 GbE RJ45 connector and the Nighthawk has a 10 GbE SFP+ LAN connector.
To maximize transfer speed for Plex I’d like to use my router’s SFP+ port to the 10 GbE on the NAS.
What kind of adapter/cable do I need to attach this NAS to my router?
The answer is very simple. You need 10GbE sfp+ adapter. It costs around 100$ but it is fairly straight forward and easy to use. If you need more specs and video guide, I have added some of that bellow.
I hope this helps.
