TS-253B(Be) vs TS-251B vs TS-251+

Thank you very much for your videos, I am planning to buy a NAS for my home mainly for storage and media streaming (to iPhones, iPads, laptops and smart TV. I am a bit lost between different brands and models!!
For example, regarding QNAP NAS there are three models of TS-251 (A, B and +) in addition to Synology DS 218+. From what I watched I moved slightly towards QNAP because of its connectivity ports and functions, however I’d like to ask you about:
– The differences between the three QNAPs models
– The importance of the HDMI port in the QNAP
– What is the value of having two Ethernet ports

All of these models feature HDMI. The 53B/Be series even have two of those. It is useful thing to have if you have no smart TV. This will effectively turn it into a one. You also use it to connect to tour amplifier or dedicated monitor for surveillance purpose or turning it into a Linux machine.

The most powerful is 53B with a fastest COU and biggest RAM capacity. If you do not plan on ruing a virtual machines you likely do not need this much power.

A dual LAN options is a useful feature allowing you to enable load balancing (two pipe data transfer doubling the speed in multi user environment) or link aggregation, merging two ports together to increase the bandwidth.

Audio jack ports are useful if you want to connect older type of amplifier which doesn’t feature LAN or HDMI connectivity. Or you can use it for Qnap Karaoke setup or Linux machine.

Finally USB-C allows you to connect your NAS to a computer directly. The speed is around 100MB/s but it is very useful feature for photo editors along with a SSD card slot option.
