How to connect Synology NAS to a MAC (Map a network drive to Mac OS X)

 

First of all you need to create a shared folder on your NAS if you haven’t so far. You can use the general Home folder for everything. But keeping things separate is safer if you have a multi-user environment.

You will then need to know your NAS IP address. If you are logged in the NAS right now, in the URL you will see the IP.

Or if you have Synology Assistant app open, you will find IP there

 

 

 

You can then open Finder app

Click Go on top bar and select Connect to Server

 

 

Type in your NAS IP

User name and password.

And there you are with a connection to your NAS on folder level.
