8K ready TV list and compatible NAS

NAS 8k support

I have a Samsung Smart TV QLED 8K 900Q 65 inch
And I want to have videos at maximum performance of the TV

I looking for NAS That have also 8K support
Have a surveillance Station.

And I think the best way for have max performance and max speed for video (movie) is with HDMI support.

Can u give my support about what is the best solution for play 8K movies stored on NAS

8K Video streaming is a very new niche. First of all, there are not many TVs around. Many manufacturers advertise 8K TVs but those tvs do not even feature HDMI2.1. So you need to rely completely on your Ethernet speed. When offering 8K support, they should also include 2.5GbE connection on a TV because bandwidth what is required to stream such a large files would slow down your network. You might even need to upgrade to 2.5/5/10GbE Ethernet.

The best NAS to stream such video size would be Intel core i5/i7 or Xeon based. TVS-1282 or TVS-872N or even TS-873 with RTX 20 Series GPU which would support HDMI2.1.  But it will be definitely cheaper to stream over the ethernet. If your TV feature AX WiFi then you might also consider doing it wirelessly. But make sure you TV supports the video format and does not require transcoding.

TVS-882BR was a very innovative release. But you might not be able to find any available to buy. But if you did, you would still need to upgrade it with HDMI2.1 graphics card. You may also find TVS-882 and install DVD reader, or use external DVD burner.
