I am a follower of your youtube channel and this site. I pove the way you review every Nas drive. I have a question, I want a nas primarily for Plex/direct connect to tv to streat 4k content. And along with that I will use Nas for backups.
For my usage comparing between QNAP HS-453DX VS TVS-951X which one would be better?

While streaming over the network both of these will perform exactly the same way. Both CPU benchmark test results show score just under 2000 which is a good score for Full HD content transcoding. But you want to simply stream. So maybe its worth looking at the price:

QNAP HS-453DX with a price – $806

QNAP TVS-951X  with a price – 

There is ar 100 note difference between these two. But if you do a math per bay, 51x is a better value for money solution. If you are streaming regular 4K its fine. But with HDR content for those 10bit TV models, you may like to get 53DX with its HDMI2.0 connection. But again while streaming over the network – doesn’t really matter.
