VP9 video codec compatible NAS

VP9 and other open standards?

Why is there no mention of the VP9 video codec? Any modern TV supports it, and it has become the de facto standard for high res Web video for the past 3 years (while we are still waiting for AV1 to replace everything. Furthermore, playback of VP9 requires less processing power than H265 as far as I know.

iOS devices are the only ones incapable of handling VP9 and the Matroska containers MKV and WebM these days.

In fact, new models like DS220+ and also 4-bay models of 20+ series do support VP9.
