4 Bay NAS Drive for photography editing/backup using both Mac Mini and PC with DAS connectivity option.

I have been looking at your very informative videos but am still a little confused. The QNAP TS-451 and TS-453 seem to be what I require but I’m unsure.

TS-453B does offer DAS and NAS connectivity option. But you could do photo editing easily over the network. Even if your editing software does not support network drives – you can set it up as iSCSI drive and trick the computer that there is new internal drive added. Network connectivity would also ensure that you can connect from many different operating systems across the computers and mobile devices.
