4 port NIC card for Qnap NAS

I would love to put a 4 port NIC card into the Qnap. Do you have any recommendations? I’m not wanting to pay an arm and a leg, but I do want something that will work.

You will need to look at PCIe specs inside the Qnap. The 872XT for example feature two slots.
Slot 1: PCIe Gen3 x16 (CPU)
Slot 2: PCIe Gen3 x4 (PCH)
Slot 1 is preinstalled with a Thunderbolt 3 adaptor

Here we we have x4 slot available. There is no 4-port LAN cards tested with any Qnap regards to their compatibility lists. I would choose Mellanox, Emulex or Intel because they do support single and dual LAN port PCI cards from these manufactures. This would mean that drivers built in will be more likely compatible with the card.
