TMnascommunity – TerraMaster NAS Third-party App Center

Tmnascommunity – TerraMaster NAS Home Brew App Store

As a Network Attached Storage device that integrates storage, backup, sharing and media services, TNAS has an increasingly wide user base around the world. At present, tmnascommunity.eu, a community application platform for TerraMaster TNAS developed and maintained by developers who love TNAS devices around the world, is also officially launched. This is an open source community, which has provided nearly a hundred free TNAS applications, covering multimedia, development tools, data backup, security, network, business and other fields, the number of applications is still increasing. As more and more developers join the ranks of TerraMaster application development, the functions and application range of TNAS are getting wider and wider, which also adds more playability to TNAS. Since TOS 5.1, TerraMaster has also added the portal of the community application platform in the official application center to provide users with more convenient access methods.

The TNAS community application platform covers a wealth of topics and categories, and users can download and communicate the applications they are interested. At present, these applications support TOS4 and TOS5 systems, and community applications bring more obvious benefits to TNAS users:

APP Resources

The applications released in the community can help users explore more functions of TNAS and enrich the experience of TNAS devices.

Professional Support

Developers will answer users’ questions in the community, provide technical support to solve problems, and help users better understand and use TNAS devices.

Users Communication

Other users in the community can also answer users’ questions or share their experiences, which can help users better understand how to get the most out of their TNAS devices.

Provide Feedback

Users can provide feedback and suggestions in the community to help improve TNAS applications and services.

How to Access the TM Community App Center?

Enter the TNAS App Center, click Community App, enter the application download page of TerraMaster Community Place, select the application you want to download, and then install the downloaded application installation package manually in the Install application manually under the settings.

Users can also directly enter the community application platform here https://tmnascommunity.eu/

Precautions:

1. Community applications are not officially developed by TerraMaster;

2. TerraMaster do not provide services and technical support for community applications;

3. Users shall bear all risks by themselves, including but not limited to: loopholes, bugs, malicious codes, copyrights, etc.;

4. All actions of the community application platform have nothing to do with TerraMaster.

  1. I got Jellyfin to install and able to access to web setup page. The issue I am having is when navigating to find my movie directory, it’s not listed. I can get to volume1/public/ and that’s it. No sub directories under public are listed. Any ideas on this?

  2. What a crap tutorial. Jellyfin will not enable without ModBase1, and ModBase1 apparently wants ffmpeg51, not ffmpeg. So, because I followed this, I get to wait another week for my downloads to refresh.

  3. I’ve looked EVERYWHERE on the internet for a guide to installing tailscale on TOS4. Any idea how to do this? The video and the website you’ve suggested are for TOS5.

  4. Watched the video, downloaded the two apps (although very different method to that shown here), nothing works. Both apps present as some sought of title page. The links on the Jellyfin app page actually redirect to Emby ????. Seems like a complete scam. This is all too difficult. Wish I had not listened here and just bought a Synology. I have the absolutely no frills Terra-Master media server working. It presents as a folder structure, nil GUI on screen.

  5. Why not just use Container Station (or whatever this Brand X NAS uses for Docker, and just hit the Custom Config on it, and Copy Pasta the Docker Compose on to it?

    Honestly I haven’t seen this Vid to it’s end, as my interest on this topic is for QNAP, perhaps due any day now, just after the Asustek version comes out surly.

    That said why should I trust these Third party shops when QNAP are pulling out the flags warring me that this may not be the smartest move.

    Worst of all as you mentioned paying anywhere from 5€ to 30€s for a packaged app that is at best a year (likely more by now), out of date seems highly sketchy. When at the end of the day such sales are completely breaking GPL. As the last time I looked Jellyfin was a FOSS Project.

    Makes me think that Sir Expert is about as wise as the rest of us. Thankfully some of us can still read a Wiki. Sadly (or thankfully), from all me dealings with Linux. (i.e. Neither noob friendly, or a handholding walkthough.) That said it’s not overly complicated either.

  6. Thanks for this! I’m a huge fan!

    Would be great if you could do a video on how to install apps using docker and the pros and cons of doing so

    Especially important given how limited the app selection is on terramaster

  7. Any chance of a guide on connecting to the now unsupported remote connection for Netgear NAS drives. I am sure you are aware, ReadyCLOUD ends in April of this year (I’m livid). Or maybe do you know of a guide that would help me configure this. Ta.
