The QNAP TS-551 NAS CPU and Memory Details
The TS-551 is equipped with a 14nm nanotechnology Intel® Celeron® J3355 dual-core 2.0 GHz processor (with a bursting frequency of 2.5GHz) and 2GB of DDR3L dual-channel memory (expandable to 8GB) with 2 Gigabit network ports and supports the latest 12TB and 14TB NAS hard drives.
The transmission provides excellent continuous read performance for smooth and fast tasks. The TS-551’s built-in Intel® AES-NI next-generation encryption engine maintains smooth and fast data read and write speeds even when AES 256-bit NAS encryption is accelerated while maintaining important NAS data while maintaining system performance and safety.
QNAP TS-551 NAS SSD Support
The TS-551 provides two 2.5-inch SSD dedicated ports that enable SSD caching, which accelerates IOPS performance for disk access and meets the performance needs of dense access applications. QNAP’s Qtier technology gives automatic tiered storage services, helping the TS-551’s 2.5-inch SSD and high-capacity SATA hard drive storage space to achieve uninterrupted storage, improving system performance and economical system configuration. The latest Qtier 2.0 IO Aware feature can be used to store key data directly in the SSD layer and can be used directly to store key data, allowing high-priced SSDs to realize their value and improve storage cost performance.
QNAP TS-551 NAS with HDMI and 4K Support
The TS-551 uses the Intel HD Graphics 500 graphics chip with excellent processing performance to support 4K H.264 video hardware decoding playback and transfer files, and can smoothly transfer movies to files on various devices in real time. You can download a wide range of audio and video applications in Ubuntu® Software Center on Linux Station, such as Plex Media Server, KMPlayer, Kodi (unofficially), LibreOffice, VLC, etc. You can also use HD Player on HD Station or third-party players (such as Plex) and QNAP Home Theater to connect HDTV or A/V amplifier through HDMI output, and directly enjoy 4K high-resolution video files in TS-551. You can use the QNAP remote control (optional purchase) to easily control the multimedia entertainment experience with the QButton function.
