DAS for video editing due to security concerns

I am looking for reconditions on a DAS storage solution with a least 30TB of storage running raid 5 or 6. I am also looking for a DAS with 2 10GBE ports as we would like to edit the footage that lives on the DAS from 2 edit computers within 10ft of each other.

Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, I am looking for the cheapest option that fulfills all these requirements. Another note that our IT does not want a networked based solution due to security concerns. Therefore, I am inquiring about a DAS option.

You can have a network-based storage solution without a network. If you get something like TVS-872XT or TVS-1282 or TVS-1282T3 you can connect to it directly via a network connection. Or you can use a local switch to connect all machines on its own private network which is not connected to other networks or the internet. This will be called SAN solution. With Qnap you can even push security even further by encrypting certain folders or entire HDD media.
No one who is a professional editor use directly attached solution. It is impossible in a team-based business. It is your job to make sure security is good as it can be. I recommend Qnap.
