Brand New Cost-Effective QNAP TS-251B NAS for 2018
With Computex and CeBit 2018 coming our way in a little over a week, we are still finding out more information on new releases. Today we want to talk about a brand new QNAP NAS that arrives with familiar hardware, but with a very cost effective aim. The new QNAP TS-251B is aimed at the same NAS users who considered the TS-251+ or TS-251A, but this time it features a number of the advantages and design choices found on the new popular TS-253Be. Although fewer details are available right now, there is still enough to see that this is going to be a popular NAS for home users that want access to the best of what QNAP NAS and QTS 4.3.4 have to offer, but insist on featured options such as HDMI out and the ever popular PCIe upgrade!
What are the Specifications of the QNAP TS-251B NAS?
We will learn more about the QNAP TS-251B 2-Bay NAS at both Computex and Cebit, however, everything we do know is below. We will, of course, update you with everything new in the world of NAS and all the new releases from QNAP as they come. So do remember to subscribe to stay up to date!
- Intel J3355 CPU, 2.0Ghz that can reach 2.5Ghz (same CPU as the TS-551)
- 2-8GB of DDR3L Memory
- PCIe slot for Adding 10Gbe, m.2 SSD Cache or BOTH with the right QM2 Card
- Front mounted USB 3.0 Copy Button

- Rear mounted Speaker
- Automatic/Manual single real cooling fan

When will the QNAP TS-251B NAS be released?
Details on the QNAP TS-251B NAS are still so thin that as an estimation of a release date is just to thin on the ground. However, I think we will see this available for release at the start of Q3 along with the TS-551 9-Bay NAS and other brand new QNAP NAS for 2018/19. Stay tuned here to NASCompares to learn about every new release at Computex 2018 and CeBit 2018.
