Best SSD for ACER Predator Helios 300, G3-571-77QK Laptop
Installing 2nd SSD, unsure which one to pick
I have an ACER Predator Helios 300, G3-571-77QK. I want to install a 2TB SSD SATA III in the secondary HD slot, but am unsure which one to choose. Any suggestions or guidance? I use the laptop for basic computer interface stuff like email, streaming videos, shows, and movies from the usual mainstream places like Netflix, Disney+, and youtube. Also gaming, mostly on Steam.
Yes, when choosing an SSD for your computer, you need to identify the most difficult function it will need to do. If your operating system is installed on your other SSD then you can relax on your additional SSD choice and get a simple Crucial model or WD.
Also if the purpose of this laptop was simple daily use without pushing its performance then the same rule would apply.
But Gaming is very challenging task for a computer. You need fast SSD and also fast response on these SSD to get the best results. The system will be doing caching which involves lots of writing and reading data. This wears SSD out very fast. Choosing commercial grade SSD would not only extend the lifetime of these drives but also give you a longer warranty.
