We are collecting audio recordings of different hard drives to build a comprehensive database of noise levels. If you have a hard drive, we’d love for you to contribute!
Please send us a recording of your hard drive and include the following details:
- Brand: The manufacturer of your hard drive (e.g., Seagate, Western Digital).
- Model: The model number of your hard drive (e.g., WD10EZEX).
- Distance: The distance from the hard drive at which the recording was made (e.g., 10 cm). Booting/ inactive/ active
Your contributions will help create a valuable resource for others to compare hard drive noise levels.
