Introducing the MSI Spatium M570 Pro: A High-Performance M.2 SSD with PCIe 5.0, 12 GB/s, and Vapor Chamber Technology
The world of technology is constantly evolving and pushing the boundaries of what we thought was possible. The latest advancement in storage technology comes in the form of the MSI Spatium M570 Pro, a high-performance M.2 SSD with PCIe 5.0, 12 GB/s, and vapor chamber technology.
As expected, manufacturers are using CES 2023 as a stage to showcase the latest and greatest in technology, and the MSI Spatium M570 Pro is no exception. This SSD utilizes the familiar M.2 format, measuring 80mm in length, and is equipped with the new Phison E26 controller which supports PCIe 5.0 x4 and NVMe 2.0.
The Spatium M570 Pro uses faster TLC memory, specifically Micron B58R, and is said to achieve a top speed of 12 GB/s in sequential reading, with the same writing rate. This impressive speed is made possible thanks to a more complex cooler with a vapor chamber, which helps to prevent temperature-related throttling.
In a test conducted on a system with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor and an MSI MPG X670E Carbon EK X D-RGB motherboard, the Spatium M570 Pro achieved a reading speed of around 12.3 GB/s and a writing speed of 11.8 GB/s. While these speeds are impressive, it should be noted that the transfer rate for random reading was slightly lower than expected, at 76 MB/s rather than the 100 MB/s demonstrated by Phison with their E26 controller.
The Spatium M570 Pro is expected to be available in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB storage capacities, with the tests conducted on the 2 TB model. It’s worth noting that the performance of the 1 TB version may be slightly lower.
As for the price, MSI has not yet revealed how much the Spatium M570 Pro will cost. Given the advanced technology and impressive speeds, it’s likely that there will be a hefty surcharge compared to other PCIe 4.0 flagships. However, we’ll have to wait until the second quarter, when the market launch is expected, for a definite answer on pricing.
Overall, the MSI Spatium M570 Pro is a promising addition to the world of storage technology, offering unparalleled speeds and advanced cooling technology. While we’ll have to wait a little longer for its release, it’s clear that the future of storage is looking bright.
