QNAP Launches New Security Vulnerability Reward Program, Offering up to $20,000

QNAP, a leading provider of storage, networking, and computing solutions, has announced the launch of its QNAP Security Vulnerability Reward Program. The program aims to actively protect information security and ensure network security by inviting global information security experts and researchers to participate in creating a more secure network environment and storage services.

The QNAP Security Vulnerability Reward Program covers security problem reports related to QNAP operating systems, applications, and cloud services. Security report bonuses that meet the scope of the project can reach up to $20,000 based on the audit rating. The program was launched in November 2022, and since then, QNAP has received hundreds of security vulnerability reports and issued tens of thousands of dollars in rewards.

Huang Shizhan, Senior Manager of QNAP Product Information Security Incident Response Team, said, “Thanks to information security researchers for their vulnerability reports and feedback, we look forward to calling on more information security professionals to jointly maintain Network and information security.”

To participate in the program, information security researchers can use the PGP public key provided by QNAP to encrypt the email message and send it to security@qnap.com. The QNAP PSIRT team will proactively contact the researcher and confirm the submission.
