Amazon Prime Big Deal Day October NAS Deals 2024 – Synology, QNAP, Asustor, Terramaster, Seagate (Data Storage Deals)

Amazon Prime Data Data Storage Deals – That I Would Personally Buy!

Yep, it’s come around again. Amazon has launched their (now twice-annual?!) Prime Day event and with that, a flurry of deals are happening over the course of the next two days. As always, me and Eddie here at NASCompares takes this opportunity to scour the Amazon stores in the world in order to find the best deals that are REAL and, more importantly, are for things that we would ACTUALLY buy and/or recommend! We do this to help other users of course. but also as a means of fundraising our website and services, as we gain a small commission on all purchases that are made. So, it’s win-win for everyone! In order to do this, we have different options that you can use to help you find the best solution for your needs, hopefully at the best possible price! This article serves as a rolling ‘update’ article that is pinned to the top of NASCompares and will be updated hourly over the next 48 hours or so (timezones permitted) and features real offers that we have seen. Needless to say, these are not going to hand around forever (expect them to be subject to stock levels and/or time limits) so we will try to stay on top of the ‘deadwood’ below as best we can. In the meantime, I recommend the following alternative pages:

Recommended Deal Pages

The above options will help you choose the right solution for your needs FIRST, and THEN you can check if they are on offer (to avoid pressure purchases on something BEFORE you know it actually suirts your needs)!> Otherwise, let’s continue with the deals we have spotted so far below. Also, we have spotted several other retailers creating ‘competative deals’ in order to tempt users away from Amazon during this spending event, so we have included other deals from B&H below too. Happy Shopping!

Remember to check Amazon Warehouse, as they will have a 20% discount on ‘used’ items during Prime Day:

B&H Synology NAS Deals – Competing with Amazon

During the PAmazon Prime Day event, it is pretty common for competitors in the data storage retail space to make offers and discounts on their site, in order to draw people away from the ‘big A’. Although there are a few smaller % deals floating around, no one has been more aggressive in their competition with Amazon on the subject of NAS than B&H. During Prime Day 2024, they are running pretty sizable discounts on several heavy hitters in the Synology NAS portfolio (including the DS923+ and DS224+). Undercutting Amazon quite significantly. Take a look:

      1. Hi there, UK subscriber. I’m tempted by the 10G PCI-E card because (a) standard ethernet cables can be used (b) future proof up to 10Gbps. (c) price
Questions: (1) are they compatible in Qnap TS-453D NAS box? (2) In a Windows 11 PC, do you need to download additional drivers? (3) Is there any advantage of buying two for both final end points? (4) In a Windows 11 PC environment how easy or difficult is it to utilize both ports on the card?

      3. I purchased a TRENDnet TEG-S762 6-Port 10G Switch, 4 x 2.5G RJ-45 Ports, 2 x 10G RJ-45 Ports, 60Gbps  It was on sale 162.99 cdn 2 days before prime day now at 266.88 cdn. Was more expensive than some of the SFP+ ports switches shown on sale.

      4. The NL market is vastly different compared to other countries. There are a lot of online shops operating in a pretty saturated market. Amazon arrived quite late to the party in NL and they probably don’t feel like making the effort. Although occasionally I see Amazon come up with an outright dumping price, undercutting the rest of the markt in NL by something like 40%. But Amazon only does these kind of freaky offers for a period of two or three weeks before putting the price back up to what it was before. In short, you might be pushed to find a ‘good’ offer in NL.

      5. That is not a deal on that Minisforum MS-01. That’s just the normal price. Amazon just put a 20% off sticker on it and you fell for it. I would know, I’ve been tracking it for months and bought some 2 weeks ago for a lower price when it was an actual deal.

      9. Keep in mind that the Qnap expansion unit uses SATA2 and that one of the reviewers mentioned his LUKS keys were wiped when he installed disks (YMMV).

Also got to love inflation. The regular price for it was around £145 a couple of years ago.

      11. Was waiting for the prime deals to get a new HDD and maybe a first time NAS. Just a few days ago, it happened: fatal device hardware error. If you wait too long, it’s all gone.

      12. First time coming into the world of NAS and torn between the Terramaster F2-212 as a good starter or the F2-424 for the future upgradability ????. A pair of the ironwolf 6tb drives would go with it. I have 8 PCs in the house that id like to share files, photos and backup. Any opinions?

      13. Oh I hate you! You’re the BEST SALESMAN for NAS I have ever come across. No matter what my mood is you get me excited for the next box of drives to upgrade too. I’ve got two that I would like to consolidate to one. But budget wise things have been tight for the last year. See light at the end of the tunnel this time of year so SELL ON! I’ve got a few $ I can spare, now. ????

      14. Hi, Terramaster F4-424 on as prime deal (UK) £383.99 . Not seeing on your live list too purchase, give you some pennies ????
Going to check out your review on it first????

      15. What do you think of Teramaster F4 -212? I am super new to NAS systems and I most likely only use this for backing up data and maybe sync the NAS with an online data storage. I might even just turn off the NAS most of the time since I don’t usually need access all the time and I only back up data from my phone and camera only once in a while. Or is it better to go with a Synology around the same price? Synology is only 2 hard drive bays but Teramaster is 4 hard drive bays so more expansion I guess

      16. Quoting 17:12 “Let’s go to Canada…why not, we’ll look at the pro—ACTUALLY, NOT Canada… umm…errr…”
I felt that with every fibre of my being.
“On second thought, let’s NOT go to Camelot. Tis a silly place.”

      17. The synology 723+ and 923+ are the only low wattage (2&4 bay, appliance style) NAS that suppport ECC memory. Which is something worth considering, Synology ethernet ports are minimal at 2×1GB no Jumbo frames, with an optional upgrade card for 10GB (Still not multigig ports as far as I can tell) and a baseline 2GB ram (officially upgradeable to 32GB, as 2×16GB ddr4 ecc-sodimm.).
But it has both 3.5″ and m.2 slots good support, linux based, and a solid x86 CPU.

      19. Help!!!! First time Nas for me! Should I consider the DS224+ @ $239:99, the Terramaster F4–424@ $303:99 or the F4-424 @399:99. Scratchin my head trying to decide! Of course I will be using it for Plex as well! Thanks!

      20. For the F4-424 Pro 8 core at 559usd is this worth getting, need for virtualization and hosting as well as storage but im on tbe fence with the OS differences. Are there 3rd party os solutions like unraid better or even putting the Synology OS on this unit?

      21. I was watching a handful of things. I saw many of these kinds of items going for these same “sale” prices 1-2 weeks ago, then this past week the price goes back up to normal price, and suddenly on “prime day” the sale price now for the same price they were 2-3 weeks ago.
        REPLY ON YOUTUBE

      22. Well had been looking at the ASUSTOR Lockerstor 4 Gen 2 AS6704T as my NAS of choice. However the TERRAMASTER F4-424 was just too good a Prime day deal and ordered 1. Live in UK

      23. Tried to order the Synology DS923+ on B&H. It says it is still in stock but payment keeps failing. Tried 2 different cards (both of which have no issues) and it says “Problem with your payment method, please contact the card issuer”. but I am pretty sure it is a problem with their website. Too bad.
