I have a question, it is that I have a nas where I have set my hard drives to copy each other. Now it starts to get full, you can change some settings where you remove one of the hard drives so that both become just one. if you know what i mean????

Just ordered the Terramaster D8. Within hours terramaster sent an email regarding a niche issue. If using UnRaid on Linux and trying to create a RAID pool on the NVME, the device might assign both NVME with the same serial number. Firmware link provided. So.. decent customer service.

As mentioned in the introduction, I am testing 3 different NAS devices for upcoming reviews and clearly the capture box I was using for the MOBO on the desk has interfered with the microphone I was speaking into – ROOKIE ERROR! I didn’t pick this up in the testing, as it did not start till the CPU fan on the desk mobo started! Really sorry for dropping the ball on this, but hope that the deals I spotted are of use! I’m kind of bummed. I purchased the Synology DS224+ and the two pack of 20TB WD Red drives, only to find out these drives are not compatible with this NAS. Sucks that I have to send them back. Please tell me Synology customer service is wrong and these drives will work with no issues.

Picked up a Yotta 5 bay USB 3.2 case for very cheap, 35-40% off by combining a couple of deals. I will pick up a cheap n100 mini pc and start the transition from an old pc server to mini pc clusters. The flexability of this arrangement suits my use case so much better than a dedicated NAS (and/or old servers). Although if the circumstances arrived where I could grab a big rackmount set up I would be all over it. Although I would likely have to live in it cause the wife would divorce me soon after 😀
