Cheap NAS for camera recording and editing +direct attachable

I will be placing the camera in the countryside viewing wildlife and powering with a very long Ethernet cable. purchasing from your video the RLC 422. I then need to review the images and record what I have seen ie number of birds deer etc. Once survey completed I may wish to use it around my own home later adding a couple of extra cameras.

Following on from the last I will need some software to remove the data and connect it to a computer. I am thinking that I copy from the hard drive then connect it to my computer for editing.

There is only one NAS I can suggest for Surveillance and attach to a PC – it is TS-251A. It comes with an SD card slot and USB direct attach port. Qnap comes with a free surveillance App available. You can set it up for continues recording or motion trigger. Also, you can select which area should trigger alarm when movement recorded. You can easily go through the footage and access important bits. Than for editing you can directly attach to a PC to copy data over. Or also you can connect network drive along with your C and D drive.

With a cable, remember there is 100metre  limit for a gigabit cable betwen camera and switch/router. Make sure you have shielded CAT6a cable for lon distance.
