Is there an easy way to switch back to QTS?

Agreed… but actually its not a restriction of ZFS is an implementation restriction. Migrating to a different geometry is hard because if the structure of ZFS. I suspect this is a tradeoff with OpenZFS given the history .. SUN… Oracle…illumos. It would be interesting to submit this question directly to the folks but at the end of the day, I do not believe the current implementation of OpenZFS will change because their are better solutions for high disk-count object stores (Variable fragment assignment systems – Erasure Coding)
Back to my issue. Is there an easy way to switch back to QTS?
If Qnap have not changed anything then there is an option at the beginning of the setup process
