Powerline adapter alternative – rj45 cable wiring

Powerline adapter alternative – rj45 cable wiring

I am looking for recommendations in regards to getting my Synology DS 918+ connected when im unable to establish a direct hard wire connection to my router. Currently, my setup consists of; router-powerline adapter. 2nd powerline adapter-pc. 3rd powerline adapter-gigabit switch- DS918+. For some reason I am getting 320kbps transfer speeds and im trying to find the most cost effective remedy to this. Would you recommend upgrading to gigabit powerline? or will a wifi adapter work just as well? Also an adapter recommendation would be much appreciated. NOTE: I intend to use the NAS for storage, backups, and a Plex server.

The best way to achieve this would be runing a rj45 cable from your NAS to your router and access data via Wifi. You can get a 100 metre cable and a rj45 crimping tool set for $40 or less.
