QNAP TS-653 Pro RAM upgrade
Hi, I have tried different RAM modules to upgrade my QNAP TS-653 Pro.
– Kingston KVR16LS11/4 – Memoria RAM de 4GB (DDR3L Non-ECC 1600 MHz, FBGA SODIMM 204-pin, 1.35 V CL11)
– Crucial RAM CT2KIT51264BF160BJ 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1600 MHz CL11 Single Rank
– Crucial RAM CT2KIT51264BF160B 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1600 MHz CL11 2Rx8
– Offtek DDR3-12800 (PC3-1600) Non-ECC FT512MSK64V4U (2 x 4gb)
None of them have worked on the NAS. When I install 2 modules or even only 1 module in the main slot of the NAS, it doesn’t boot. It’s stuck in the booting process forever, the arrows are moving right like trying to boot but nothing happens. I don’t hear the beep I hear when I use the RAM that was installed when I bought it.
The RAM that is installed and working is a Transcend 2G 1Rx8 DDR3L 1600 SO.
I have even bought another Transcend exactly like this one, at least it seems the same, same label, same look. No luck either.
Is there anything I can do or something I’m doing wrong? Any advice?
This CPU supports up to 8GB RAM. Anything bigger than that is not guaranteed to work. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/78867/intel-celeron-processor-j1900-2m-cache-up-to-2-42-ghz.html
Also, make sure you use dual bank RAM.
Here is compatible Crucial RAM
I hope this helps.
