Recording hi-def video to a Synology or perhaps Qnap NAS

There is a good quality installed video camera that has a range of high end, highdefinition video output connections. They would like to record the video output for seminars that are held for remote viewing post the seminar event; I like Synology DSM and if I could get the video in via a USB adapter that might be a solution as Synology boxes have no HDMI input connection or equivalent (last time I checked) any suggestions? Or should I just go directly to a Qnap system as some of them are supplied with an inbuilt HDMI input connector?

No Synology do not have NAS with HDMI. In fact, Qnap HDMI does not support input but only output to devices. You can record the video on a camera and then transfer the footage to the NAS. If you want to record directly to a Qnap or Synology  I would suggest to get a good IP camera and record this way. But it will not compete with the quality you would normally get from professional video camera. The most popular cameras seem to be Reolink.
