Best NAS for video editing on AVID MEDIA COMPOSER and Auto Desk FLAME

I run a small outfit with some friends and we currently need a NAS/ DAS system that is able to support a total of 8 users. 6 of those users are basic usage with file sharing / transferring, while the other two are editors. Both systems will be running AVID MEDIA COMPOSER and Auto Desk FLAME. We don’t want a blade setup as the array will need to be relatively quiet and able to be set on a desk. We’ve been looking at the QNAP TVS-1282T3 12-Bay and have seen stellar reviews from other content creators on Youtube. We are thinking about buying this and loading it up with Seagate 14TB Exos drives. My main question is that I know Computex 2019 is just around the corner– do you know if QNAP is preparing to release an updated version of this array? I know it has been around a few years, and would hate to purchase it a month before a newer version is released with more features.Do you foresee any problems with this arrangement in general?

Qnap have already released a new model which is TVS-872XT. Also 1282T3 is a latest model for Thunderbolt3 users.
Both of these models are amazing products for video editing and more.
The 72XT series stand out with their dual NVMe M.2 slots inside. This means really really fast live editing speed. And HDD RAID for raw footage storage as well as finished project distribution.
The TVS-1282T3 is like an older brother of the XT series. It is older, but it features PCIe Gen3 x8 PCIe slots. Which allows you to create a tiered storage solution with NVMe, SATA SSD and HDD arrays also delivering amazing speeds. There are Thunderbolt and non-thunderbolt options which allows you to install card for extra 10GbE ports and M.2.
The next step up would be Thunderbolt/10GbE Rackmount series from Qnap. But that will require a separate server room to keep your office fairly quite.
The Exos drives are a great choice because of their reliability. They are made for datacenter so very rarely this drives will give up.
