For the Qnap 882brt3 It looks like thunderbolt is the fastest connection option, is that correct ?
I have a desktop Mac pro computer and it only has thunderbolt 2 ports; but the Qnap has thunderbolt 3 ports.
Do you know of a solution for this ?
Do they make a thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter? Is there a product on span.com that I can use to connect my Mac pro to the Qnap via thunderbolt?
Thunderbolt is indeed the fastest connection you can have.
You can calculate how much of the bandwidth you are actually gonna utilize. NAS filled with SSD media will reach speeds over 2000MB/s. Having a supporting connection is crucial.
There is a Thunderbolt3 to Thunderbol2 adapter people are using all the time. It is an Apple own make and it works perfectly fine.
