Introducing the Power-Packed AS54: Unleashing More Performance, Storage, and Value!
Taipei, Taiwan – 12th July 2023 – Brace yourselves for the arrival of the remarkable AS54 series! Bursting onto the scene with a plethora of enhancements, this cutting-edge lineup is set to revolutionize the world of NAS storage. Catering to the needs of passionate enthusiasts and creative content creators, the AS54 series is armed with upgraded hardware and an array of remarkable features that will take your storage experience to new heights.
At the heart of the AS54 series lies Intel’s latest 10 nm Celeron N5105 Quad-Core processor, a powerhouse that can turbocharge up to an impressive 2.9 GHz. This remarkable chip offers a staggering 31% performance boost compared to its predecessor, setting a new standard for speed and efficiency. Complementing this formidable CPU is a generous 4 GB DDR4-2933 RAM, delivering up to 20% more performance than the DDR4-2400 variant.
Revolutionary to the AS54 lineup is the inclusion of four M.2 slots specifically designed for NVMe SSDs. These cutting-edge slots utilize PCIe 3.0 technology, allowing for lightning-fast read and write speeds. With the ability to utilize M.2 SSDs for system storage, caching, or both, the AS54 series unlocks a world of accelerated data access across various types of volumes. Prepare to experience the dual benefits of unparalleled speed and tremendous capacity.
Harnessing the full potential of your NAS, the AS54 series boasts dual 2.5-Gigabit network ports that support Link Aggregation and SMB Multichannel, providing a combined speed of up to 5 Gbps. These versatile ports are fully backward compatible with Gigabit and 100-Megabit Ethernet, and when utilizing SMB Multichannel, they deliver awe-inspiring read speeds of up to 576 MB/s and write speeds of up to 566 MB/s. Additionally, the AS54 flaunts three USB 3.2 Gen2x1 ports, each capable of delivering an astonishing 10 Gbps of performance, effectively doubling the power of USB 3.2 Gen1x1. This translates into lightning-fast transfer speeds when utilizing external drives and SSDs. Furthermore, the AS54 supports 10-bit 4K H.265 decoding streaming through its iGPU, accompanied by seamless video output and playback via the integrated HDMI port. With its stellar performance, the AS54 is an ideal companion for both home entertainment and demanding editing tasks.
Featuring ADM 4.2, the AS54 series boasts an array of enhancements, elevating the user experience to new heights. The newly introduced quick guide feature ensures intuitive and user-friendly navigation, enabling users to swiftly grasp the basic functionalities of their ASUSTOR NAS. Moreover, exciting new features such as two-way share links for seamless file sharing to and from your ASUSTOR NAS, MyArchive, automatic mount and unmount features, DNS Challenge format, and support for WireGuard VPN clients further enhance the NAS experience.
Emphasizing the perfect balance between price and performance, the AS54 series raises the bar by doubling the maximum memory support and USB performance compared to its predecessors, the AS52 and AS53 series. As an added touch, the award-winning chassis has been meticulously designed with extra heat dissipation holes that not only dissipate heat generated by M.2 devices but also exude a visually appealing aesthetic. This ingenious design contributes to preventing overheating, ensuring the longevity and reliability of your SSDs. With the AS54 series, you can enjoy a reliable and high-performance desktop NAS solution that caters to the needs of enthusiasts and content creators alike.

Can anyone advise what the maximum supported storage capacity is for the Asustor AS5404T? I’ve scoured just about every tech doc on their site and any datasheets, but there is nothing on this. Thanks
As long as you use SATA drives, any capacity will work.
